Tiana Kritzinger was born in South Africa before her family emigrated to Australia. She attended Clayfield College in Brisbane - class of 2022.
She is an elite Australian distance freestyle and open-water swimmer who trains with the Rackley Swim Team. She has broken through onto the international stage as a member of the Australian Dolphins national team.
At the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, she reached two individual finals, placing 5th in the 800m freestyle and 6th in the 1500m freestyle
Tiana Kritzinger (Year 10) (right) was recently notified by Swimming Australia that she had qualified for the 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle events at the 2020 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Hawaii.
Tiana won a Bronze medal in the 10km event at the Australian Open Water Championships, qualifying for the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup. Sam Short and Tiana Kritzinger crushed it in their first-ever 10km open water, both claiming bronze in their respective races.

Kritzinger, who made her Dolphins debut two years ago swimming the 1500m at the World Short Course Championships in Budapest, stunned with a bronze in the women’s 10km event at the Australian Open Water Championships in Bunbury last week.
